Heinrich Isaac – Choralis Constantinus 1508

Sunday, 10.07.2022
Minoritenkirche Regensburg | 11h

The Choralis Constantinus is one of the most important motet collections of the Renaissance period. Heinrich Isaac created it in 1508 as a commission from the Constance cathedral chapter. Most of the 375 motets are largely unknown today. The ensemble cantissimo has been working intensively on the opus for many years.
In April 2022, Carus-Verlag will release the new CD with a selection of celebratory motets that bear impressive testimony to the first musical heyday of the Renaissance period. A great rediscovery, which can also be heard in the concert in Regensburg.
